Fall Harvest Sangria, a beautiful blend of kombucha, brandy, apple juice and prosecco.
This week, I bring you one of my all time favorite drinks, sangria. Having grown up with Spanish parents, we had a lot of this punch-like beverage from Spain in my house. I’ve always loved sangria, especially riffing on the traditional red version with my own creative twists.
With this recipe, I have taken creative liberties to a whole new level. I think you will love this sangria, especially if you love the flavors of fall. Think fruit, yummy fall spices and brandy paired with a little effervescence.
For this drink, I partnered with GT’s Living Foods using their holiday Living In Gratitude kombucha. If you have not tried this flavor yet, I highly recommend it. It’s a healthy, and oh so delicious, blend of:
- Carrot
- Apple
- Fall Spices
- Turmeric
I really enjoy pairing cocktails with kombucha. I look at it like I’m bringing a little nice to the naughty. There are so many wonderful health benefits to drinking kombucha especially when it comes to gut health. Did you know that over 80% of your immune system is in your gut?
The rest of this drink comes together pretty easy. Sangria is basically wine, fruit, fruit juice and brandy. For my version, in addition to the kombucha, I added:
- Brandy
- Moscato (or Prosecco)
- Fruit
- Organic Apple Juice
As with most of my recipes, feel free to make this your own by swapping out the ingredients for things you love or have on hand at the moment. I used Moscato in my recipe to give the sangria some sweetness but you could use Prosecco…my fave!!!
You could also use different juices such as orange and feel free to mix up the fruit. To make a less boozy version, you could leave out the brandy completely and it will still be great.
What types of beverages do you like to serve during the fall holiday? Would love to hear from you. Drop me a line in the comment section below. If you make this recipe or any of the recipes on the blog, make sure to tag me on instagram! I love to share what you guys are making.
